Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Training for CHWs
The Institute for Public Health Innovation, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Health’s Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, is offering a free 1.5-hour continuing education training for Community Health Workers in Virginia. This session will cover the health impacts of lead exposure, common risk factors, how to identify children who may need testing, and practical ways to help families reduce exposure in the home. Participants will also be given a wide range of resources to support their work with families at risk of lead exposure.
