WHAT | What is CHW 301?

CHW 301 is part of the CHW 300 Series: Ministry Learning Collaborative and serves as the foundational training in the series. This training explores the intersection of spirituality, service, and community health through the biblical principles of the Fruit of the Spirit.

The Fruit of the Spirit emphasizes the following core attributes:

  • Love

  • Joy

  • Peace

  • Patience

  • Kindness

  • Goodness

  • Faithfulness

  • Gentleness

  • Self-control

This training is not about religious conversion or promoting a specific belief system. It focuses on using these principles as a values-based framework to support advocacy, cultural humility, relational care, and holistic well-being—while honoring diverse beliefs, identities, and lived experiences. CHW 301 establishes a grounding framework for values-centered CHW practice.
