CHW 101: Core Training
CHW 101: Core Training provides foundational education for Community Health Workers (CHWs). It equips participants with knowledge of healthcare systems, advocacy, health equity, cultural humility, and resource navigation. Designed for individuals passionate about serving their communities, it emphasizes building trust, fostering relationships, and empowering CHWs to bridge gaps in healthcare access effectively​​.
Duration: 70 hours in 7 weeks (Mon - Fri from 2 - 4pm EST or 6-8pm EST)
CHW 201: Advanced Tailored Training
CHW 201: Advanced Training focuses on enhancing the skills of experienced Community Health Workers. It emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and advanced community-driven strategies. Participants gain tools for advocacy, addressing systemic health disparities, and empowering communities through tailored initiatives, deepening their impact as healthcare and equity champions​​.
Duration: 30 hours in 4 weeks (Mon - Fri from 9:30 am - 11 am EST)
CHW 301: CHW Ministry Learning Collaborative
CHW 301: CHW Ministry Learning Collaborative integrates faith-based principles with the CHW vocation, exploring the intersection of spirituality, service, and community health. Participants deepen their understanding of faith as a foundation for advocacy, cultural humility, and relational care, fostering holistic well-being through ministry-informed practices that empower communities and honor diverse beliefs​​.
Duration: 15 hours in 2 weeks (Mon - Fri from 9:30 am - 11 am EST)
CHW 401: Supervisor Learning Collaborative
CHW 401: CHW Supervisor Learning Collaborative is an engaging, 10-week program designed to enhance workplace excellence through the development of critical soft skills. Tailored for supervisors of Community Health Workers (CHWs), the collaborative covers essential topics such as effective communication, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, time management, and fostering a supportive team culture. Participants engage in interactive discussions, real-world scenarios, and practical exercises to build leadership capabilities that empower CHWs and promote organizational success. By the program's end, supervisors are equipped with strategies to create positive, productive workplaces that reflect the core values of equity, collaboration, and community-driven impact.
Duration: 20 hours in 10 weeks (Weekly on Thursdays from 11 am - 1 pm EST)
CHW 501: Financial Literacy for CHWs
CHW 501: Financial Literacy for CHWs covers a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

Managing debt effectively
While the workshop is designed to equip learners with personal financial management skills, the knowledge gained can certainly be shared with clients and community members.

CHW 601: ABCD Principles In Public Health
CHW 601: ABCD in Public Health training series explores Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) in eight interactive 1.5-hour modules. Designed for public health professionals, it emphasizes asset mapping, power shifts, and community-driven action. Participants learn to co-design equitable health initiatives, shifting from needs-based to asset-based approaches for sustainable, community-led impact
Duration: 1.5-hour sessions for 8 sessions in 2 weeks (Mon-Fri from 11a-12:30p EST)
CHW 701: Train-the-CHW Instructor
CHW 701: Train-the-CHW Instructor is a 30-hour, 4-week course designed for CHWs who have completed CHW Strength's CHW 101 training as a student. This advanced training equips participants with instructional skills, curriculum development techniques, and facilitation strategies to train future CHWs using CHW Strength's accredited CHW 101 curriculum. Graduates will confidently co-facilitate CHW 101 training, fostering a knowledgeable and empowered community health workforce.
