Wk15Days4&5&6 - Practice & Link & Visualize 2 Peter 1:15
Guidance → Reminders → Legacy
Day 4: practiced this verse while brushing my teeth and sweeping the floor
Day 5 & 6: This is the work I do every day with CHWs, supervisors, partners, and community leaders. I am designing systems, rhythms, teachings, and pathways that will keep strengthening communities long after I step out of the room.
This verse is literally my leadership fingerprint.
There is so much more to come as I continue building this legacy of impact and belonging.
Wk15Day3: 2 Peter 1:15 Written it out by hand AND typed it out by fingers (19 words of the NKJV)
Moreover, I will be careful
to ensure that you always
have a reminder of these
things after my decease
Wk15Day2 Reflection on 2 Peter 1:15
Lord, this verse reminds me that the work You’ve given me is legacy work. Strengthen me to pour into others so they can stand firm even when I’m gone. Help me prepare and empower Your people so what You placed in me continues to bear fruit for generations.
Greetings…sometimes my video doesn’t load so I wanted to summarize what my video says…
While the memorization plan says I could be memorizing 2 Peter 2 by now, this week I am picking up with 2 Peter 1:15 and following the daily tasks as noted in the comment area
This is a WEEKLY devotional plan
Each week, we invite you to take these steps each day to memorize 2 Peter
1. Read, Reflect, and Write
Day 1: Read the verse aloud multiple times, slowly and intentionally
Day 2: Reflect on what it means personally and how it connects to your work or life
Day 3: Write it out by hand—this engages your mind and memory on a deeper level
2. Repeat and Recite Daily
Day 4: Practice during daily routines—like walking, commuting, or preparing meals
3. Connect and Apply
Day 5: Link the scripture to a real-life action or personal value (e.g., "service," "justice," "grace")
Day 6: Use visual or emotional anchors: picture a moment where this scripture came alive in your CHW service
Day 7: Share it with someone else—teaching helps solidify memory

@Everyone
Are you memorizing 2 Peter?
0%Yes, I will add a comment with the verse(s) I have memorized
0%No, I’m meditating on other Scriptures
Peter reminds us that he witnessed Jesus’ divine glory firsthand. This is a moment confirming God’s truth and presence. This revelation assures us that Scripture is trustworthy, shining light into dark places. As we heed the prophetic word, our hearts awaken to Christ, the Morning Star, whose rising brings clarity, confidence, and radiant hope to our faith journey.
“For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;”
â€â€II Peter‬ â€1‬:â€17‬-â€19‬ â€NKJV‬‬

15 “Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.
16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.””
â€â€II Peter‬ â€1‬:â€15‬-â€17‬ â€NKJV‬‬

I fell off of doing something every day of the week on the scripture of the week. I need the action of EACH day to help me with meditate on this Word and to REALLY memorize it….

Reflection: We embrace life’s brevity with courage, knowing Christ has secured eternity. Each day becomes sacred, urging us to serve faithfully, love deeply, and leave a lasting witness. 14 - Knowing shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me

It’s like being invited to a grand celebration where the doors aren’t just cracked open for us to squeeze through…they’re swung wide, with lights blazing, music playing, and ushers joyfully guiding us in. We don’t sneak into God’s kingdom; we are welcomed like honored guests, with an abundant entrance prepared in advance.
“for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
â€â€II Peter‬ â€1‬:â€11‬ â€NKJV‬‬
2 Peter 1:10 urges us to be intentional about living out our faith, confirming our calling through consistent growth in Godly character.
This isn’t earning salvation but it’s walking in alignment with God’s grace.
Our steadfast obedience safeguards us from stumbling, giving confidence and joy. Our daily choices testify that God’s work in (and through) us is real, fruitful, and enduring.
When we lose sight of growth in faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love, we begin to drift into spiritual amnesia.
We forget who we are and what we’ve been delivered from.
This verse calls us back to remember: we’ve been cleansed. We are no longer bound by who we used to be.
It’s a humbling reminder that spiritual stagnation is not neutral; it blinds us to our identity and purpose. When we neglect to grow, we forget the freedom Christ gave us. But when we remember His mercy, we are empowered to live with clarity, purpose, and grace.

2 Peter 1:7 reminds us that godliness isn’t complete without brotherly kindness and love. Kindness builds unity and trust among believers, reflecting a heart shaped by Christ. Love (deep, sacrificial, and unconditional) is the highest expression of spiritual maturity. This verse shows a natural progression: we grow from godliness to genuine care, and from care to divine love. As we walk in these virtues, we reflect God’s character and become vessels of His healing presence.
My would building boxes you first need a foundation etc until your house is finished
Wk5Day1: recited
Wk5Day2: reflected (see below)
Wk5Day3: written
Wk5Day4: practiced
Wk5Day2: this verse reminds me that growing in faith requires action. I can’t be passive but I must intentionally add virtue to my faith and knowledge to virtue. Each day, I choose to live with purpose…aiming for excellence. It’s not just about believing; it’s about being who God called me to be through faithful steps.
Link to Inclusion: 2 Peter 1:4 reveals God’s inclusive heart as He is inviting all to share in His divine nature. His promises aren’t limited by status or background. Inclusion means every person, regardless of circumstance, is welcomed into transformation. In Christ, we belong. We are seen, valued, and empowered to live free from the world’s corruption.
Visualize: When I was in high school, I remember at lunch, always aiming to sit at a different table to ensure everyone felt included and not like an outcast if they weren’t at a “cool table” I never wanted anyone to feel left out
Reflection: 2 Peter 1:4 reminds us that we are not just spectators of God’s promises…we are partakers. Through His divine nature, we’re invited into a life beyond corruption, rooted in holiness and hope. This verse calls us to remember who we are becoming. We are transformed, not by striving, but by His power at work within us. What a sacred invitation.
This verse reminds us that knowing God is not just about belief…THANKFULLY…it’s about relationship. As we grow in understanding who God is, we experience deeper grace (His undeserved favor) and peace (inner calm and wholeness).
Real-Life Action: I will continue to prioritize daily time with Scripture and prayer…not out of duty but out of desire to know God more deeply.
Value:Â I value spiritual curiosity as I get to know the One True and Living God
Wk2Day4: while I was hanging out with my 7 year old daughter, she asked, “are you still memorizing Peter?” I said “yes” and she said “let me hear it” and I was able to recite 2 Peter 1:1-2 for her.
“Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,”
â€â€II Peter‬ â€1‬:â€1‬-â€2‬ â€NKJV‬‬
I've written by hand 🙌 and I have noticed it engages my mind on a deeper level. typing it is one thing, but writing it by hand really solidifies the words in my mind. I can see myself writing it as I’m saying the words later on in the day when I don’t have a pen in my hand.
Wk2Day1: recited many times
Wk2Day2: 2 Peter 1:2 reminds us that grace and peace grow as we grow in our knowledge of God and Jesus. It means the more we know Him…not just about Him…the more we experience His presence in daily life. This verse invites us into a deeper relationship where peace is not earned but multiplied through connection with our Abba Father
I completed 2 Peter 1:1!
Wk1Day1: created video reciting 2 Peter 1:1
Wk1Day2: Reflect on what it means personally and how it connects to your work or life
2nd Peter 1:1 means that I can be a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ. It also means that there is value in celebrating and connecting with “those who have like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ“
Wk1Day3: wrote it by hand and placed it on my mirror and calendar.
Wk1Day4: said it while walking and going up/down the steps
Wk1Day5: value —> humility
Day 2: Reflect on what it means personally and how it connects to your work or life
2nd Peter 1:1 means that I can be a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ. It also means that there is value in celebrating and connecting with “those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ“
“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”

Prayer as I memorize 2 Peter 2:1 this week…
Gracious Abba Father, thank You for giving us Your Word as a light and guide. As 2 Peter 2:1 warns us, false teachers and destructive heresies can arise even among Your people. Lord, help us to walk in discernment. Guard our hearts and minds from deception. May we be rooted so deeply in Your truth that no lie can sway us. Strengthen our faith and give us wisdom to recognize what is not from You. Help us lead others in love and truth, standing firm in the gospel of Christ. Keep us humble and alert, always seeking Your Spirit’s guidance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Truly never thought I would ever memorize a WHOLE chapter of the Bible. Yayyyyy. Excited to continue towards the WHOLE book of 2 Peter
