The night before a child leaves home for a new adventure, a loving parent sits with them. Instead of giving one last lecture, the parent prays over them. They ask God to protect them, keep them close, help them stay true to what they have been taught, and remind them they are deeply loved. In John 17:20-21, Jesus does the same for His followers. Before going to the cross, He prays for us, asking that we would be united so the world would know God’s love.

A child receives a beautifully wrapped gift from someone who loves them. Instead of opening it, the child starts doing chores, trying to earn what was already freely given. The giver smiles and says, “You don’t have to work for this. I gave it because I love you.”

John 3 reminds us that God’s love and salvation are a gift. In John 3:16, we see that God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, so whoever believes in Him can have eternal life. We do not receive this gift because we performed perfectly. We receive it by trusting the One who gave it. God’s love came first.

Your phone is almost dead. What percent is it at? 51%, 34%, 10%, 3%?

You know exactly where the charger is but instead of plugging it in, you keep tapping the screen, hoping the battery will somehow recharge itself. The more you ignore the charger, the lower the battery gets. Eventually, the phone shuts down

Romans 1 is a little like that. God has made Himself known. His power, wisdom, majesty, and goodness can be seen all around us. In Romans 1:16, Paul says the gospel is the power of God for salvation. The gospel is like the charger. It gives us what we need to live the life God designed for us.

Some people see the charger but choose other things instead. They trust their own ideas more than God’s truth.

Romans 1 teaches that real life, real hope, and real purpose come when we stay connected to God…

Our family is gathering around a special dinner table. Everyone is welcome but the meal means more than just eating food. It is a time to remember the love, sacrifice, and values that hold the family together. If someone ignores the purpose of the gathering and thinks only about themselves, they miss the heart of the meal.

In 1 Corinthians 11:26, Paul says that whenever believers eat the bread and drink the cup, they proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. The Lord’s Supper is like our family meal that helps us remember Jesus, honor Him, and care for one another with humility and love.

Imagine a community that once gathered in an old building with strict rules. Only certain people could enter certain room and access to the center was limited. It worked for a time but it always felt incomplete.

Then a new leader comes and establishes a better way. Instead of rules written on walls, the values of the community are written on hearts. Everyone is invited in. Access is no longer restricted. There is openness, connection, and belonging for all.

This leader does not just talk about change. They become the bridge that makes it possible. They remove barriers, restore trust, and create a space where people can draw near freely and confidently.

Now the community is called to live differently. Supporting one another, choosing love, showing hospitality, and staying grounded in truth. They remember the cost of this new way and they do not take it lightly.
