August Session

We are pleased to welcome Janan Wyatt, Ph.D. an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Wyatt is passionate about applying psychology as a tool for social justice to improve health outcomes for marginalized populations, eradicate racial and ethnic mental health disparities, and strengthen the implementation of community-focused population health approaches in clinical practice and research.

She will be discussing how workforce diversity and representation allow organizations to best meet the needs of the communities they are serving, including the importance of culturally congruent care. Dr. Wyatt will also review the importance of self-care, especially among those who are in the helping profession. This presentation will offer skills and techniques to build and sustain a meaningful self-care practice for audience members.
