Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that relates to the changes in the seasons. SAD can cause your energy levels to lower. CHW Strength wants to highlight the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder and ways to keep your mood and motivation elevated to bring good energy into your daily life.
Symptoms of SAD
Losing interest in activates that you once enjoyed.
Having low energy and feeling sluggish.
Having difficulty concentrating.
Feeling listless, sad, or down most of the day, nearly every day.
Having problems with sleeping too much.
Tips to Elevate your Energy
Make your environment sunnier and brighter. This can be by talking long walks or opening the blinds at your home to bring in natural sunlight.
Exercise regularly. This can help relieve stress and anxiety.
Normalize sleep patterns. By scheduling reliable times to wake up and go to bed, this can reduce napping and oversleeping.
