STRENGTH™ in Motion (SiM 08-24-2026)

logo

One pillar, One practice, and One week in motion

August 24th - August 30th

Welcome to our 08/24/2026 edition of STRENGTH™ in Motion, a weekly space where we will explore one STRENGTH™ pillar, one STRENGTH™ practice, share what is happening behind the scenes, & invite you into upcoming opportunities

One STRENGTH Pillar

Growth: Develop intentionally every day

Growth asks us to be intentional about who we are becoming. Growth doesn’t always mean making huge changes. It can happen through small choices, New experiences, honest reflection, and the willingness to keep learning. This pillar invites us to recognize where we are, identify where we want to go, and take meaningful steps toward becoming stronger, wiser, and more confident along the way.

Growth reminds us that becoming the best version of ourselves is an ongoing process. Every challenge, lesson, and opportunity gives us a chance to develop. When we remain open to learning, give ourselves room to evolve, and make intentional choices each day, we create progress that is both meaningful and lasting.

“Keep becoming! The world always needs the truest version of YOU”

Stephanie Toney

Take a moment to reflect on your growth through three areas:

  1. Learn: What is something new you need to learn to move forward?

  2. Unlearn: What belief, habit, or pattern may be keeping you from growing?

  3. Become: Who are you intentionally working toward becoming?

Choose one thing you can do this week to grow beyond where you are today.

Choose one area where you want to develop and give it intentional attention this week.

Ask for feedback, learn something new, practice a skill, start a task you’ve been avoiding, or take one step outside of your comfort zone.

 Behind the STRENGTH™

This week, we are choosing Growth as we continue creating opportunities to learn, evolve, and develop with intention.

Growth is showing up behind the scenes through our willingness to learn, reflect, adapt, and keep moving forward.

We are making space to strengthen our skills, learn from one another, welcome new ideas, and embrace opportunities that challenge us to grow. Growth reminds us that development does not happen all at once. It happens through the small, intentional steps we take each day to become better equipped to serve, lead, and create meaningful impact.

“The deepest transformations begin where no applause has ever reached”

Stephanie Toney

One Week Ago & In Upcoming Weeks

We took a moment to celebrate with the Bon Secours Mercy Health RVA Health Corps! Congratulations to all the graduates!!!

Growth is built one day at a time. CHW Strength celebrates Keith Shaner on receiving his 3-year AA chip! A powerful reminder of how commitment, perseverance, and choosing to keep growing can lead to incredible milestones.

"Growth is rarely loud" - Stephanie Toney

Sometimes it looks like three years of choosing healing, honesty and hope one day at a time. Watching Keith receive his AA chip reminds me that transformation is built through courageous, consistent choices that become freedom.

A moment of connection, leadership, and growth! We had the opportunity to attend the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute Alumni Gathering, reconnecting, building relationships, and continuing to grow alongside inspiring leaders in our community.
