Everyday Contributions, Lasting Meaning

Some contributions are easy to see. Others happen in a conversation, a follow-up, or the time someone takes to listen.

CHW Awareness Week is an opportunity to notice the many ways Community Health Workers contribute and the strengths they bring to those moments.

SHARE HOPE: What is one CHW contribution that deserves more recognition?

Share a moment when your work felt meaningful, a strength you bring to your community, or an experience that helped you understand a CHW’s impact.

GIVE HOPE: Read another person’s reflection and name the strength you notice. Was it patience, advocacy, creativity, persistence, or the ability to build trust?

Help make that contribution visible.

What CHWs bring matters. Today, let’s put it into words. Together, weHOPE.

Follow the CHWStrength blog and engage with our VA CHW Awareness Week weHOPE posts October 12–18. Each engagement earns an entry in our digital gift card drawing. More engagement means more entries and more chances to win!

The drawing will take place October 19.

That is one of the strengths CHWs bring every day. We help close the space between information and…
