Binghamton University (SUNY) is seeking an energetic professional to join the B-Healthy Initiative team. The university is hiring a full-time Health Promotion and Prevention Coordinator (Senior Staff Assistant, SL-3) at its campus in Binghamton, New York.
Position Overview
Salary Range: $57,151 - $61,000
Appointment Type: Full-time, open until filled
Department: Health Promotion & Prevention (B-Healthy Initiative)
Core Responsibilities
Program Development: Create and deliver targeted wellness workshops focused on proactive health and health equity.
Inclusive Advocacy: Design health strategies addressing the reproductive, sexual, and holistic needs of LGBTQ+ and historically underserved student groups.
Campus Collaboration: Partner with clinical staff, campus safety, and community providers for external reproductive health care and STI testing access.
Leadership: Supervise a dedicated team of student staff, volunteers, and graduate assistants.
Title IX Liaison: Represent the B-Healthy Initiative at Title IX Committee meetings to advocate for trauma-informed, equitable processes.
Required Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of one year of professional experience in health promotion, disease prevention, or health equity.
Skills: Strong public speaking abilities and knowledge of intersectional, gender-affirming care frameworks.
Eligibility: Candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
