Lifting the Voices of BIPOC Staff & Health Equity Panel Discussion 📣
CHW Strength is excited to partner with Health Outreach Partners to lift up the voices of BIPOC Health Staff.
Do you work in a community health center? Health Outreach Partners invites all health center staff identifying as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color) to join a listening session on Tuesday, April 9th at 1 pm EST to understand the impacts of systemic racism on BIPOC individuals in the workplace.
Systemic racism is a stressor for the BIPOC health workforce. It can result in many adverse outcomes, including burnout, compassion fatigue, moral distress, and, ultimately, leaving the industry, thus impacting the communities we serve. This discussion will be an opportunity to share lived challenges and opportunities and how they can be leveraged to improve workforce retention strategies for health center settings.
Participants will also learn to use Health Outreach Partners’ Organizational Self-care Assessment Tool to assess opportunities to develop a robust organizational wellness culture related to the unique needs of BIPOC health center staff.
