iHOPE - Heart
National CHW Awareness Week
Greetings,
There are parts of community health work that can be measured: referrals completed, people reached, resources connected and appointments scheduled. Those numbers matter but some of the most meaningful parts of our work will never fit neatly into a spreadsheet.
It may be the person who finally feels heard, the relationship that took months to build, or the community member who knows they can call you. Sometimes it is laughter in the middle of a difficult day or the moment someone trusts you enough to tell you what is really happening.
Those moments remind us that this work is profoundly human. Today, our iHOPE journey brings us to Heart.
I invite you to look beyond the tasks on your calendar and ask: What fills my heart in this work? Maybe it is a person, community, relationship, or a CHW moment you still think about years later.
Our Scripture for iHOPE (Heart) says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
Our hearts deserve attention too. Today is an opportunity to notice what brings you joy, reconnects you to meaning, and reminds you of the power of relationships.
